Bishops Head 2015 Fumé Blanc
Fumé Blanc is this barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc grape which is barrel fermented and barrel aged. Hand picked grapes from our Mairehau Vineyard, were pressed to 3 puncheons and a slow wild yeast ferment ensued. The wine was aged on lees in barrel for 11 months before assemblage and bottling..

Great with any seafood, the bishops Head Fumé Blanc is simply fantastic with crayfish in a creamy sauce, salmon ceviche, or scallops and chorizo. Fumé Blanc also pairs extremely well with light chicken dishes and salads.
